District Psychotherapy Associates is an insurance friendly practice. We provide you with all the necessary documentation that insurance companies require to reimburse you for our services as licensed psychologists.

You may wonder why we are not insurance providers. Here are some of the more important reasons:

We only share the bare minimum information required for you to get reimbursed. Because we are not providers for any insurance company, the amount of sensitive information that is shared with them is significantly reduced.
We develop a treatment plan and goals with you, not with a third-party insurance company who is motivated to cut costs and minimize payments, often resulting in ineffectively short psychotherapy in our opinion. Because we are not insurance providers, we work with you to decided upon the best course of treatment.
Most insurance companies reimburse 50-75% of our fees as part of their out-of-network coverage. Check with your insurance provider about your coverage for specific information. You'll find this described in the behavioral or mental health out-of-network coverage section.
